"And Rose? How is she?" That was the first thing that I asked as soon as they came out.
They were caught off guard by my question, but they quickly reassured me.
"Both the mother and child are fine. There are no problems at all with them."
It was only then that I let out a sigh of relief.
The prime minister and chancellor came forward as if they wanted to congratulate me, but I just ignored them as I went forward to enter the birthing room.
But once again, Rose's subordinates stopped me.
"What is the meaning of this?" I asked in a cold voice while looking at them with narrowed eyes.
Both of them couldn't help taking a step back when they heard this, but then they said, "Please wait a moment before going in. Her majesty needs some time to recover before seeing you and the child needs to be checked carefully before we can let it see you."
I narrowed my eyes even more when I heard this, but what they said next stopped me. "It's for their own health."
I couldn't argue with this just to satisfy my own curiosities.
If it was necessary, then I would wait.
It was better to be safe than sorry after all.
But that didn't mean that I would back down that easily as I stood there in front of the door and said, "Tell me the moment that they're done and I can go in."
I stood there as if I wouldn't back down no matter what.
Eventually, the two of them had no choice but to nod in agreement and they went back inside to check on the situation.
It was as if they all had a grudge against me and just wouldn't let me see my wives or my children.
But at the same time, I couldn't help remembering a saying from my past life.
"The husband is the least important person in the room during labour."
I didn't argue with that since I certainly didn't know anything about giving birth. Even if I had been in the room, I wouldn't have been able to actually help with anything since I was limited by my knowledge.
Still, I would have at least liked to see my child once...
It took several hours of checking on both the mothers and the children, but I was finally able to see them.
All three of them gave birth to healthy children and I could see the resemblance that they had to their mothers. It was the shape of their faces, their eyes, their noses, and their lips.
I could tell that all three of them would be beautiful or handsome in the future.
As for which, I had no idea yet since I had no idea what the gender of the three of them were. "We were waiting for you to find out." All three of them answered the same thing when I asked them about their gender.
So I was the one that was allowed to do the honours.
Though they acted like they were calm, I could tell that they were worried.
It seemed that they were worried about the gender of their children for some reason.
As if they were afraid of something.
Lifting up the blankets covering them, I looked in between their legs to find that there was
something missing.
"They're all girls."
Just like that, I gained three daughters in one day.
