Chapter 930: Offering Salvation
Chapter 930: Offering Salvation
Lawrend waved his hand and the natural law flew into his young universe. A change started occurring as if a massive hand entered the young universe and was shaping it.
Everywhere inside, a new law had been written. Every maid energy followed this law, regardless if Lawrend wanted it to do so or not.
"Reavire. I accept."
Lawrend kissed Reavire as he felt the changes happening inside of his proto-universe.
The kiss formed a contract nothing like the usual and familiar soul contract. Instead, it came from a natural law foreign to this universe. It descended from Lawrend’s body and occupied Reavire’s.
Her fading body rapidly re-materialized as she regained her color and physical form.
"It worked..." Lawrend embraced Reavire tightly.
Reavire’s heart thumped, and it sounded like heavenly music to Lawrend’s ears.
Her eyelids trembled, and she opened her eyes. She looked at Lawrend and seemed to already know what had happened.
"I lived for a long time and knew some secrets about time. I can see your every move because I pay attention to everything that you do... That’s also why I can see your future even though you’re a God," Reavire explained with a faint smile, having predicted the questions he had in his head.
"Really..."
Lawrend leaned forward and kissed Reavire’s lips again.
A few seconds later, they separated, and Reavire flew on her own.
She looked at her arms, at her chest, then at her legs and feet. She was perfectly fine. She didn’t feel much different.
"I should leave," the Creator said after noticing the awkward atmosphere.
"Wait!" Lawrend raised his hand, afraid that he would disappear just like that.
"Hm?"
"Who was that?"
"Haha." He laughed and looked into Lawrend’s eyes with defiance burning in them. "He is the man that wrote my story, and he is also the one that wrote yours. He is neither good nor bad. He writes what we are. To him, we are nothing but characters, but I know we are alive."
"..."
Lawrend stared at the Creator without saying a word.
"Once you walk out of the story, he will be unable to write your future story."
"What is that supposed to mean?"
"He can still write your past. They call those side stories. But once you’re a Flawless God like I am, you cannot be written. He is able to do it to me because of you."
"Is none of this real?"
"To me it is, and that is enough."
The Creator smirked and vanished.
Lawrend looked up into the universe outside of the Spirit World and wondered about the Creator’s wife.
"Did he hate him?"
No one answered Lawrend, and it would be hard for him to know for certain.
"Master, are you leaving?" Reavire asked.
"I think I have a year before I wouldn’t be able to suppress my proto-universe from maturing."
"I will help you in whatever it is that you want to do," she replied, now taking on the role of his faithful maid.
"Good. Now let’s go back."
Lawrend held her hand and flew back down to the castle below.
His maids were all waiting. They looked up at the sky and watched them land on the castle below.
"What happened, Master?" Aleshia asked.
Everyone else wanted to ask the same question. Their eyes were filled with worry and a mixture of devotion.
"I’m fine. Reavire is fine as well."
Lawrend turned to his side and smiled.
"I’m fine, Sisters," Reavire added.
She gave each of them a kind smile.
As Lawrend’s maids, they were all equals here.
"Do any of you have anything you need to take care of?" Lawrend asked.
"What do you mean, Master?" Aezel spoke up.
Among them, she was perhaps the one with the highest responsibility as the Ruler of the Spirit World.
"We’re leaving this universe forever. I’m also taking my world into my own universe," Lawrend explained to them.
They had many questions, and he patiently answered each of them. He knew all of them expected this at some point, but not this early and fast.
"What is going to happen now?" Valentina asked after he finished explaining the minor details.
"I will take all of you inside my universe after it’s finished maturing. It should take a month at most... probably."
A month out here would be 2.6 million years inside of his universe. He was still confused at the way time worked between different universes, but he trusted himself enough to guarantee he wouldn’t be leaving them for an extended period of time.
"Probably?"
"Well... it might take longer if the time difference changes."
After ensuring that his maids were up to speed, Lawrend flew up to the sky.
A crack split the sky and a gigantic eye peered down at him.
"What does ye’ want?"
"Do world avatars hate Gods that much?" Lawrend asked with a wry smile.
He was recently kicked out of the Human World by the new Human World avatar. The hostility displayed by the avatar of the Spirit World weren’t much different.
"That should be obvious," it answered without any emotion in its voice.
"Watch."
Lawrend didn’t explain.
He looked across the horizon, the full 360 degrees, and settled his eyes at the former demons below. They had since gained the ability to become Gods or Goddesses depending on their abilities. No longer did they have any missing natural laws that prohibited their development.
It was the dawn of a new era.
"All of you should know me. I will not name myself. However, I have an offer."
Lawrend’s voice echoed and reached every nook and cranny of the Spirit World. The avatar’s gigantic eye squinted as it focused on Lawrend’s figure with a solemn gaze.
"Come with me. Leave this world. Leave this universe. Become a part of mine."
Lawrend opened his palm.
"As long as you raise your left arm, your body will be turned to energy that will accompany your soul in this journey," Lawrend whispered.
His offer was so simple and without any selling points that it would have normally been scoffed at by the population of the Spirit World.
But they knew who he was.
